About

Hello. I’m Jonathan Urie.

I like people. Technology was made by people and at the end of the day, I like to focus on how it can make people’s lives better. Sure, I enjoy tuning an algorithm to run more efficiently as much as the next person, but I’m much more excited by how that algorithm is going to get stuff done.

At my core, I consider myself a translator between technical and non-technical people. My favorite thing is to see the lights come on above someone’s head when a technical concept clicks.

I’m currently a ServiceNow Platform Owner® for Los Alamos National Laboratory (Side Note: None of the stuff I say here represents the opinion of LANL or any of its subsidiaries or other organizations. All opinions expressed here are my own. LANL’s lovely Ethics Team would want me to say that [Hi Ethics Team! 👋🏾].).

I’ve been working with ServiceNow for about 13 years as an administrator, team lead, platform owner, trainer, consultant, team manager, and architect in the ServiceNow community and I have loved every minute of it. I’ve worked with about three dozen different companies doing ServiceNow wizardry.

I’m not on social media a ton, but I hang out on LinkedIn in order to appear professional.
